Eli arbeitet als Schwimmtrainer in Chicago. Als ihn die Nachricht vom Tod seines Vaters erreicht, reist er nur widerwillig nach Israel, um dessen Nachlass abzuwickeln. Eli works as a swimming coach in Chicago. When he learns of his father’s death, it is with reluctance that he travels to Israel to sort out the parental estate. Although he has essentially found his peace with his past, he contacts Yotam, a childhood friend, who runs a flower store in Tel Aviv with his fiancée. The rekindling of this old friendship sets in motion a series of events that change the direction of each of the protagonists’ lives.
America is a sensuous melodrama, the sensitively told story of a love triangle full of color and fragrances – between the swimming pool and the Mediterranean, between life and death.
