Hassan, a friendly, burly guy — a father of three daughters with a slight paunch and a good-natured look — brings young Berliners to parties or back home in his taxi night after night. While driving, he manages his personal life over the phone. He is reserved and discreet, but a good listener with basic knowledge of English, German, and Hebrew. One night, Amir stumbles into Hassan’s car. Although their families come from the same region, the Palestinian family man and the young Israeli have little else in common. And yet, something keeps bringing them back together, leading them to discover that parts of their lives mirror each other.
