TRANSMITZVAH is a heartfelt dramedy about family, identity, and the sometimes surprising detours of growing up. As a child, Rubén Singer shakes up the traditions of his Jewish family by choosing to have a bat mitzvah instead of a bar mitzvah. Twenty years later, Rubén returns home to Buenos Aires — but this time, she’s a dazzling Yiddish singer known as Mumy Singer.

When a sad family event throws Mumy’s life off track and she loses her voice, she embarks on a journey into the past with her brother Eduardo — a journey that is as chaotic as it is touching. With humor, music, and a lot of heart, TRANSMITZVAH tells a story of sibling love, self-discovery, and the courage to forge one’s own path.
