Marina, an Israeli lawyer who has long denied her heritage and identity, returns to her homeland of Georgia to represent Nino, who left the country eleven years ago, leaving her son behind. Determined to reunite the boy with his mother, Marina travels to a small, remote village high up in the snow-capped mountains of Georgia, where she meets Dato, Nino’s brother and the child’s guardian. Despite his hostility and deep anger over the fact that his sister once abandoned her son, he agrees to help.

What begins as a heated confrontation evolves into a journey that confronts Marina not only with the conflicts of a traditional and patriarchal community but also with her own past. Between cultural conflicts, hidden feelings, and old wounds, the small possibility of understanding and forgiveness begins to emerge.
